SAYANARA
How are you this afternoon? Hope the day got off to a great start. If you take a fanatical crowd and some guys that know how to rock and roll the results are easy to determine. Enjoy one that is requested often and a tune that should be appreciated more. Listen to Marty handle the vocals on Sayonara and let me know what you think.
Please remember at any moment on an Aircast it can be a rare memory from the Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship, KBC, Wooden Ships, Marty Balin, Paul Kantner to name several. Maybe another picture previously unseen from the Rock Tent Vault sees daylight from Herb Greene or Don Aters.
Have a great afternoon,
craig

Hello again from the Airplane Control Center:
A few hours ago I had mentioned I was coming across
all sorts of vintage Airplane pictures. There was one
of Jack Casady I thought you would enjoy seeing.
Circa 66 from Herb Greene and a good way to begin
the new week.
Were you surprised that Boston and Cleveland split
the first 2 games of the American League Division
Championship? I thought the Red Sox had a real good
chance of going to Cleveland up 2-0.
Enjoy the day,

Hello and welcome to Monday morning.
How are you? It was a busy weekend in Airplane Land and today was catching up from yesterday. Here is another cool treasure from the vault. The venue is legendary and the band needs no introduction. A couple of memories from the year 66. Hope you enjoy it. I keep finding excellent Airplane pictures from circa 66. I’ll keep putting them up as long as you enjoy them.
Have a great week!

How are you tonight? Did the weekend go alright?
A great one from the Rock Tent Vault.
What about the first time a tremendous song
made an appearance on stage? Enjoy!
More treasures later from the vault to you!
Here is a written excerpt from part of the
latest Aircast. Some cool music from Phil DaRosa
deserves to get recognition.
I want to get a couple of plugs in for a
CD I was given yesterday when being
interviewed with Marty Balin and
Signe Anderson on Joe Viglione’s show.
You are very aware that if it happened after 1979
I normally wouldn’t know.
To my surprise the music was really enjoyable.
I’ve listened to the CD a couple of times
straight through already.
Phil DaRosa Better Days and I’ll put on the
blog a bunch of info about Phil and the band
as well as on the website.
Nobody asked for anything from me,
this isn’t Airplane Family business,
however it’s quality rock that mixes folk,
old time sounds with newer elements and
lyrics you can understand and analyze.

Biography
Having been born and raised on Martha's Vineyard isn't
as confining as it might seem at first glance...
Growing up, Phil had easy access to creative outlets
as well as unconditional support from his family and
social surroundings to pursue, for the most part,
whatever he wanted. The freedom to follow his passions
has led him to music. With a home base in the
Northampton area of Western Massachusetts, Phil is
mostly spending his time promoting and touring to
support his new debut, 'Better Days', which was just
released this month. Watch out for CD Release Shows
over the next couple throughout New England and the
Mid-Atlantic Regions.
