Hello and welcome to Friday! Hope the weekend will be great.

October 27, 2006 – Stewart’s Party –

San Francisco, California

The Flying Other Brothers W/Pete Sears perform a timeless cover:

Walk Away Renee (A Top 5 Hit for the Left Banke in 1967)

Hope you’ll enjoy this one.  A song that is 40 years young and has an interesting story behind it.  Rock and roll truth or theatre?  Don’t know but either way it sounds great from Pete Sears and company.

Left Banke Band leader Michael Brown was  16 when he composed the tune.  The story goes he was in love with a fellow band mate’s girlfriend and never told either one of them about it.  The girl moves from New York where the group was put together to Boston and nobody in the group ever contacted her.  She never looked for the band members either.

I look forward to hearing         you later on.

Please remember at any moment on an Aircast it can be a rare memory from the Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship, KBC, Wooden Ships, Marty Balin, Paul Kantner to name several.  Maybe another picture previously unseen from the Rock Tent Vault sees daylight from Herb Greene or Don Aters.

You enjoy the tune and have a great night.

All the best,
