Welcome to the rock flight:
How are you?
Want to rock out for our flight? If you climb aboard there will be a take-off and suddenly a landing in the rock year of 68.
Before we fly a hats off to New York Yankee pitcher Mike Mussina on winning 20 games for the first time in his career. He needed 3 wins in his last 3 starts to pull this off and was able to accomplish it on the last day of the season. While the Yankees of 2008 were a large disappointment, Mussina turned things around from a terrible 2007. Not a bad thought if Mike retires and goes out on top and not after sliding down the mountain.

Greetings from Rock & Roll Central:
Thanks for boarding our rock flight for the new week.
What an exciting Sunday it was for Major League Baseball.
You want some rock and roll tunes? Why not check out 3 Jefferson Airplane members performing a true J.A. classic and a tune that should have been on the 89 reunion album. Enjoy it. Got to go rock and roll.

Why is a Greyhound called a Greyhound when the majority
Of them are not grey? Cool dog but we need a better name.
Paul McCartney gets to perform in Israel this week. It is the first time a Beatle will perform there. Let’s hope for great things and most importantly the event goes off safely! Good luck Paul!
The rock and roll gets good as we gear the flight toward the weekend.
3 rather diverse songs for your ears to enjoy! Make the music magic and the day too. Got to go, rock and roll.

Welcome to Rock Jefferson:
We’ve got thrills galore for our rock flight.
How are you? Ready to rock?
Before we get to the rock and roll one from the series side of life. The other day there was a school shooting in Finland. I have a good friend that lives there and the first thing that goes through your mind is the family has school age kids. They happen to be 300 or so miles away from the incident, thankfully. It makes you wonder time and time again how nobody sees this coming. A person that has the desire to end the life of others and even their own is not normal the day before, the month before, etc. Wouldn’t you believe one time somebody from the family, work, neighborhood, law enforcement, etc would sense this person has something going on that isn’t normal. How many kids have to lose their life before better measures are taken?
On to rock and roll people!!
How about one so intense it takes two
Jefferson Family female singers to bring this one to the crowd!
We head over to the Brookdale Inn, Brookdale, California
Jefferson Starship on stage July 18, 2008 (7/18/08) for:
Hyperdrive (W/vocals by Darby Gould and Cathy Richardson)
Enjoy! Got to go rock and roll.
Today on the radio I heard Bob Dylan’s “Isis” for the first time on the FM dial since 1979. Once progressive radio started to be extinct there wasn’t much of a chance of that making the Classic Rock rotation. A non-commercial station played the song and it was terrific to be able to enjoy it in the car. normally if it is the non common Dylan if you don’t have it on the CD player it won’t happen!
Please spread the

Welcome to Rock Plane Jefferson:
Thanks for joining us on our journey of sight and sound!
Did you know that we are approaching 700 rock and roll photos from Beatles to Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship to Frank Zappa, Cream to Grateful Dead, Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Sometimes Young, and…………….
One of the finest Jefferson Family Fans (Graham Shanks) was kind enough to allow me to show his copyrighted photos from a recent Jefferson Starship show. They not only came out with excellent results but offer you a glimpse of a couple of people that filled in on the European tour.
Please also look to the right before we take-off. Notice the great Beatles From The Vaults, Jefferson Airplane/Starship audio treasures as well as a plethora of other great stuff we call rock and roll! Take it all in and don’t rush. The rock and roll memories need to be enjoyed without pressure!
Got to go rock and roll! Thank you!

Welcome to the Rock & Roll:
I’ll dedicate the post to the House That Ruth Built. Sunday night watching the pre-game festivities from Yankee Stadium, the game itself, and the post-game turned out to be hard to encompass.
I’m very lucky and never take it for granted. Talking with musicians during the week and writing for you fine folks lets me have a vocation as a hobby and a hobby as a vocation. Each day I am upbeat and have a smile the size of the national debt. I couldn’t even pretend to force one Sunday night. Eighty-five years of history ended. I started rooting for the Yankees in 1967 and saw my first game with dad in 1968. From my early youth of going to bed with a transistor radio under the pillow to listen to a night game during a school night to being in the ball park for playoff games, the Yankees have been a part of me. No matter how fancy a billion dollar stadium will look, it can’t replace the feeling of home that comes with 85 years at the same address. The players, the fans, the events, and the media made this to me the greatest structure on the planet. Yankee Stadium forever you’ll stand in my heart. Thank you.
Rock and roll anyone? In 1984 Marty Balin was appearing at Central Park, New York City and the Rock Tent Vault has decided to bring us back for a rare tune. It’s long and Marty Balin does his thing.
Love Don’t Lie
Enjoy the sounds.

Welcome to Rock Jefferson:
I hope the weekend went well.
Some great rock and roll from
the Rock Tent Vault. In a bit:
I have to congratulate the amazing story of the Tampa Bay Rays for clinching their first ever baseball post-season birth and having a chance to win the division as we head to the final week. As a Yankee fan for 41 years it is awful to think that the stadium will be dormant for October, however the Rays being such an underdog story have made the season interesting. If only the local fans in Florida would come out to the park on a consistent basis.
We fly to winter
of 1967. Would that make it the Winter Of
Love? The Jefferson Airplane has some jam for
your morning breakfast and plenty of it!
You’ll enjoy the flight!
Jefferson Airplane from Winter 1967 Jam
Keep an eye out for future updates as we pull out a great one from an Airplane member.
Got to go rock and roll!
