Welcome to Sunday! Hope you are fantastic. We fly the plane to 1989and a show that sees the Airplane getting tighter during the reunion. The crowd response was terrific. Relive a nice flight. Happy 90th birthday to Marty Balin’s dad known to the Airplane Universe as Joe Buck! 90 more healthy ones SIR!
Please remember at any moment on an Aircast it can be a rare memory from the Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship, KBC, Wooden Ships, Marty Balin, Paul Kantner to name several. Maybe another picture previously unseen from the Rock Tent Vault sees daylight from Herb Greene or Don Aters.
I look forward as always to hearing you later on.
Have a great day,

Jefferson Airplane Jefferson Starship Great Society
Good morning. How are you?
It sure is early but how about another from the Rock Tent Vault.
A couple of cool 66 photos from the Great Society taken by Mr.
Herb Greene.
Please fly here:
http://www.takemetoacircustent.net/index.php?pr=Great_Society_Photos
And you can see 2 Great photos (Great Society).
Although Bard Dupont and Peter van Gelder didn’t play
in the band at the same time,
you can see the picture we call the “Great Society 6.”
There is also a few shots rolled into one of Bard Dupont.
I don’t want to forget this. It is maybe every 5 years I actually like
something that came out post 70’s but… I got a call from a friend in
Virginia (Rusty) and he was telling me about a group that sounded
very 60’s. He is an old rocker like me. If he was impressed it was
worth listening to. The band and yes the spelling is correct is called
Shadow Cabinet. If you go to www.youtube.com and type that in a
song called “Save Me” will pop up. It sounds like a cross between
the Beatles and the Bee Gees “To Love Somebody.” If you fly here
please: http://www.shadowkabinet.co.uk/hark.htm there will be a link
that will let you enjoy about 7 of their tunes at CD Baby. Tell them
Craig “The Airplane Man” sent you!
Have a terrific day and I’ll get some more treasures from the tent, the one place I can almost pay my rent.
Have a super Sunday,
craig

Barry Flast on the keyboards. How about the rarity of the performance? You can’t find it anywhere else but with the Airplaneman on Aircast #35.
How are you tonight? I hope things are going well. There is a nice one as we celebrate Aircast #35. I can’t believe it either. There are shows that seem to fall into the Airplane cracks and this is one of them. A quality performance and excellent sound. Enjoy the 3 Airplane tunes done Starshipshaped.

It’s impossible to believe it is 6 months plus since my dad passed away (Almost 4 years since mom). Tomorrow we have a ceremony for him. All flights dedicated to mom and dad on the 30th of September. Mom and dad you are missed more each day.
Bye for now,

The Other Side Of This Life
Hello there on an Airplane Saturday. How are you? Welcome to a nice Aircast bonus. Why? Thanks for asking because this show fell through the cracks. Many that log gigs into data bases don’t remember the Jefferson Starship landing in Redding on May 5, 1995. It is true. Enjoy a memorable cover of the Freddie Neil song and I’ll go back to the circus tent to find way to pay some rent. Have no fear more rarities will be here.

It’s almost the weekend. Hope you are doing great. A couple of nice Airplane gems from the vault as done by the J.S. We travel to 1994 and 1995 and find the shows about to begin. Enjoy the sounds and please always look around the site. There is plenty of great music and legendary photos of the Jefferson Airplane as well as pictures never seen previously.

Ride The Tiger from the
Jefferson Starship
VooDoo Lounge, Harrah’s Casino,
St. Louis, Missouri March 15, 2007.
Good Friday morning to you. Yes, it is early but the Rock Tent Vault was open for a great encore to a Jefferson Starship gig.
Let me pose this question to you. Would you say if you asked 100 Jefferson Airplane fans which Jefferson Starship song reminds them most of the Jefferson Starship the majority would go with Ride The Tiger? Curious on your feelings. I’ll go back to the tent where I can try to pay rent but have no fear with more goodies to be hear.

Welcome To the flight. How is the day going? Normally I would have been in the Aircast studio earlier but this Sunday there is a ceremony to remember my dad (He passed away March 10, 2007) and until all the details are taken care of it is Priority 1. Dad you and mom are missed more each day.
There was a terrific (As they all are, thanks) Airmail request to play a song the Great Society may perform if they were around today. This version of a tune they performed on stage is stellar. I hope your ears agree.
Jefferson Starship has landed:March 15, 2007Voodoo Lounge, St. Louis, Missouri
Sally Go Round The Roses (Listen please for a few instrumental excerpts from: War-Low Rider!
Marty Balin told me for “Take Me To A Circus Tent” the Jefferson Airplane decided not to record this song and obviously did nicely with “Somebody To Love” and “White Rabbit.” It would have been superlative if they had! I’ll fly back to the circus tent to try to pay some rent but have no fear as more rock goodies will be here.
Have a great Thursday night and I’ll look forward to hearing you later on.
All the best,
cF

How are things this morning? If you can believe it the Airplane Man is still up.
I have been working on a couple of things for some Airplaners and I can use 30 hour days. The great thing is I hardly notice the time. Excluding the loss of my parents, I realize daily how lucky I am to do things around the book “Take Me To A Circus Tent” and not be part of 10 mile traffic delays and a world lead by an alarm clock. There is nice diversity on a bonus Aircast for you.
From 69-95 thanks to Paul Kantner keeping the torch burning brightly.
Have a terrific day and I’ll get some more treasures from the tent, the one place I can almost pay my rent.
All the best,
craig

Hello there on a real early Thursday. How are you?
Thanks for flying by for a great flight to 1969. The Jefferson Airplane full of energy and they are on stage now!
The Yankees made the playoffs last night but…………
Have you noticed the relief crew has given up about 45 runs per game?
I was heading out to eat today and had the New York City classic rock station WAXQ 104.3 on. They have been very nice to the book “Take Me To A Circus Tent.” I caught the last 15 minutes of Heart live in studio. I bring this up because Ann Wilson sounded the best I have heard her in at least 15 years. Nancy played well as always on acoustic. If her voice could capture yesterday’s sound often she has preserved it well. I’ll fly back to the circus tent to try to pay some rent but have no fear as more rock goodies will be here.
A question to ponder. Is it necessary for one of the neighbor’s to not only turn the sprinkler on every time I walk by but for 4 hours 8 minutes and 24 seconds?
On an important note the friend to the Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship for decades “Pie Man” had two friends pass away the past couple of weeks. Please fly over to http://www.pieman.org and send him good thoughts.
Have a great Thursday and I’ll look forward to hearing you later on.
Be w e l l,
